The Artist:

English-born Ron Fulstow (1934-2015) was an internationally recognised aviation artist, with a background in advertising and design. He was renowned for his detailed and meticulous research into the subject and stories behind each of his paintings. He became Official Artist to the Fighter Pilot Museum at Wanaka, and at one point had a pop-up retail outlet in Coastlands Shoppingtown in Paraparaumu, selling prints of his artwork. Ron was a Friend of our Museum and we are grateful to him for the several prints of his work in our collection.
